The Kid, also called The Wanna Be The Guy, is the main character in I Wanna Be The Guy. He uses his gun, "pass handed down" by former Grandfather the Guy, and the Cape of Heroes to go on a quest to become The Guy. Along the way, there are several things that can stop him, such as giant cherries falling from the trees, spike traps, and even The Moon.
There are also several video game character cameos and references that appear during the game.
